Business Communications Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement (12 months). Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of communications initiatives and events for ABB Process Industries in Switzerland. Working closely with the local Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will help to deliver engaging content and events to our colleagues and customers.
With your creative ideas and positive attitude, you will have the chance to develop your communications skills and influence how business initiatives are communicated within our local Process Industries unit.

Your responsibilities:
• Work with functions across the business to create engaging content including photos, videos, social posts, email news, and monthly newsletters
• Support with the organization and delivery of events such as customer seminars, townhalls, webinars and information sessions
• Help maintain the local internal communications channel (VivaEngage), supporting colleagues with drafting content and actively engaging with users online
• Organize photography and videography shoots to support local campaigns and business initiatives
• Actively share your ideas and creative suggestions to help continuously improve and amplify our communications initiatives

Qualifications for the role

• You currently pursue or recently completed a degree in Media, Communications, Marketing or Business Administration
• You possess strong writing skills
• You have experience or can demonstrate a strong interest in communications or events
• You possess sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• You are fluent in English (written and spoken), any additional languages are a plus
• Basic knowledge of any newsletter platforms or the Adobe Suite would be an advantage
• Non-EU/non-EFTA citizens, please note that a certificate from your university, showing that an internship is a mandatory part of your studies, is required for the visa application
